Early Autism Screening & Diagnostic Evaluation

At MAPS, we provide timely, comprehensive evaluations for suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental concerns in children ages 18 months to 6 years.

CMDE for EIDBI Eligibility
In Minnesota, children may qualify for Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) services through insurance. To access these services, families often need a Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Evaluation (CMDE).
MAPS provides CMDEs to:
- Confirm medical necessity for EIDBI services
- Document eligibility for insurance purposes
- Support your child’s care team with a detailed evaluation

Warm Handoffs to Services
An evaluation is just the first step—we don’t leave families navigating the next phase on their own. After your child’s assessment, MAPS provides warm handoffs to trusted community providers.
This may include referrals for:
- EIDBI therapy programs
- Speech therapy (SLP)
- Occupational therapy (OT)
- Feeding therapy and other supports
